OH HARK 15

"Is it tenuously, ?",the parasol woman asked   with a smile
Which was absolutely disarming , with  not an iota of guile.
"I call him Baldicoot,  you know, I  love him to distraction."
Said the shrew shyly,  in sudden and unexplained jubilation.

Was this woman absolutely insane , the lost man wondered
Had she not just  brandished a revolver and at him thundered ?
" Baldicoot?" queried  the woman in white in sheer amazement.
"My hubby is bald remember ,this is my term of endearment ."

He blew his cheeks in an almost theatrical display of relief
Looking  at the cat whose eyes were brimming with grief.
"Come here , you little thing", in his arms the cat he scooped
Watching  the shrew , hastily hobbling away, shoulders drooped.

"What masque? What music? How shall we beguile the lazy time,
if not with some delight? Let us have some song , some rhyme."
The poet suddenly appeared jumping over the stile with a smile.
"I cannot disappear   from the  earth, I have to go many a mile ."

The woman in white quickly jotted tenuously in the column
Furrowing her brows, eyes reduced to chinks, looking solemn.
"You are a dear, every thing had fallen into place, except this, "
She smiled at the parasol woman and blew her a thank you kiss.

The lost man failed to find himself ,was he an alien come to earth
Or a  nincompoop ,a  mere  joker tweaking the ear of mirth?
He felt absolutely  like Puck in Midsummer Night's dream
Suddenly the forest was pierced by a blood curdling scream.

  2. Yes... Very intriguing.. It feels very mysterious... dark and yet smoke and mirrors feeling, as if what you see is just an illusion.. and the swirliing of characters in and out of the scenes has that alice in wonderful feel... what is may not be...
